A residence permit (Permesso di soggiorno) is a document that gives you the right to reside legally within the state. The documents are sent to the questura. What is an investment visa for Italy?
The investor visa, investor program or residence permit in Italy for investment is a special type of immigration visa designed for people who intend to invest an amount of 250,000 euros or more. After obtaining a visa, the investor applies for a residence permit, the basis for which is the visa obtained, which entitles the investor to an indefinite residence permit and Italian citizenship.

250,000€ for innovative start-ups registered in the Italian Registry of Enterprises;
500,000€ in companies registered and operating in Italy;
2,000,000€ in Italian government bonds;
1,000,000€ – charitable donations to support associations, companies and companies working in the fields of public interest, culture, education, immigration, research, cultural heritage and landscape restoration.
All investments must be within three months of entry into Italy on an immigrant visa for investors and last at least two years.
Requirements for obtaining an investor visa
Have minimal capital to invest;
Provide sources of origin and rights to investments;
Make a formal commitment, confirmed by a written request, to invest for three months in Italy;
Demonstrate financial ability to stay in Italy while holding a residence permit.
