A typical situation: yesterday we received a letter from a family who was interested in the possibility of moving to Italy.
We quote this letter because the situation is very common:
“Hello. Please tell me. We dream with our family to move to Italy. I am 30 years old, I work as a chess coach, I am an excellent specialist in this field. Zhenya is 28 years old and she is a novice psychologist. Two children: 4 years old and 1 year old. Tell me, what real options can we have? What are the best cities to consider for moving in order to immediately find a job, what do you tell me? If the move is real, then of course we will cooperate with you on the acquisition of real estate with your help. Thank you”.
At first glance, the most common letter. But even from these formulations it became clear to me that people do not even know the basics of emigration and do not understand that there is no answer to such general questions, because each situation must be considered individually. In order not to waste time, I sent them materials for review – if they understand the essence of emigration, then it will be possible to build a constructive dialogue with these people.
Guess from three times – did they read the information on our website? Of course not. Instead, the author of the letter (5 seconds after my message) argued that he did not want to study the information, so he turned to a professional so that he could not delve into anything, but simply get the result.
It is clear that our consultation is to understand the wishes of the client and choose the option that suits.
Without theoretical knowledge about emigration, we won’t even be able to talk about moving! If there is no concept and distinction between “tourist visa” and “immigrant visa”. We ask questions to assess the situation and determine the possibility of moving with minimal risk. How can you advise a person who formulates all his wishes like this: “I want to move to Italy and live well there, and quickly offer me such an option”?
Then the communication went completely wrong: I advised them to prepare questions and invited them for a consultation to sort out their plans for living in another country, and in response I received a demand to give them a specific list of cities where they could move from the fall of 21.
At this stage, I realized that I was dealing with people who were simply not ready to move – this is such a separate type of “ever gathering” people.
They believe that emigration is very similar to buying a car: they come to the showroom, they are standing in a row in front of them, there are many brand new cars, and they walk around, inspect them, open and close the doors, look under the hood – and choose. And an emigration specialist is something like a rogue seller who sees only his own profit in this purchase and tries to sell them a more expensive car.
Only in the case of emigration, everything is completely different. Firstly, in order to buy a “new car”, you first need to realize that you have a limited amount of money, it’s stupid to come to a Mercedes salon and choose something there if you only have enough money for Zaporozhets, thirdly, in the relationship between an emigration specialist and client, the main beneficiary is the client.
In fact, emigration is more like a recovery process:
Your recovery depends entirely on two factors: how correct the diagnosis was made by the doctor and whether you fulfill his prescriptions.
It is the same with emigration: in order for a specialist to choose the right program for you, he must first study your situation, but simply say “you are moving to paradise” according to a cursory description, it makes no sense – this option does not work, on the contrary, it is dangerous for each of the parties. Therefore, there is no universal answer to the question “what suits me” or “advise me a country / city for moving”.
And in the case when a family with two small children moves, and the parents have neither money, nor a profession in demand, nor knowledge of foreign languages, the situation is aggravated tenfold, because our specialist needs to think about how to arrange children in kindergartens, how the family will receive income, when only one parent can work, and what kind of visa they need to apply for, we are looking for answers to these questions and our task is to solve them in the interests of the client.
